I’m a 22 year old nearing the end of my Visual Communications degree. Uni has taught me lots of things, but I see the natural world as my greatest teacher (as corny as that sounds). We live in an increasingly digital, and disconnected society, where people no longer need to be in touch with the outside world to connect. This is why an observational and experiential attitude is so important in inspiring thought and understanding. I am always fascinated by the little things that go unnoticed, beautiful in their normality. Being able to communicate these things on some level through design is something I strive to do, and that’s why I joined The (re)Generation project. Hopefully we can show people how easy it can be to reconnect with the natural world that sustains us.
